its a problem, at one of teh clubs i fly at they have banned petrol, gas turbine's and jets as they say its to much of a fire hazzard as we fly over crops........ yet full size fly there with high octane fuel, we fly electrics were the lipo's are prone to exploding on impact, nitro is more flammable than petrol (i think) AND!! one of the other clubs near Winchester is a square patch of grass in the middle of a field full of crops yet there you can fly anything

there's to much politics in it, even the forestry commission sit out in the new forest photographing you to see if you slip up and fly over a path...... its fecking stupid as we fly off a old ww2 airstrip

Heh I can understand that, I've hit a pheasant on the road bike. I'm pretty sure hitting a 12lb model with a 14k rpm razor blade on the front would be infinitely more unpleasant.

Ive got a Mini Pred 3d, while learning i crashed it, resulting in the rotors colliding with the ground and then into the boom. The repair was time consuming but only cost about £30. Never used it since, its up in the attic due to space but it looks amazing; especially with the carbon rotors.
