Brings back good memories this thread does.
Mums cooking sunday lunch when the gas runs out,no 50p piece,given some change to go and stand outside the working mens club in howling wind and rain asking everyone for a 50p piece so we can cook dinner. If you did that today you would be sectioned. |

Also remember seeing the original series of Star Trek on a colour tv at my Aunties for the first time way back when most of the country only had black and white.
It was superb and I can still rember that night
