Up to you, I like relay solution. The stock wiring is prone to weakness when you pull a lot of current through it.

Point 2 - But a magnum doesn't pull a lot of current. I carefully read the manufacturers data sheet before fitting one (to my Speed Triple) to make sure that it wouldn't fry the wiring.

Basically anything is a lot of current compared to the miniscule amount needed to operate a relay.

Absolutely true. Exhibit A - my winter hack Dullville. The electrical system can barely cope with the stock meeper.

This sounds awesome, although it probably is best not to actually hear it! I so need to look into rigging up something like this. I want something that produces the infamous brown note. That should sort out the rude drivers who pull out on me or cut me up on the road!
