If we wanted to sit on you, we would. Surely the whole BDSM background to the book is at least a little clue to what your woman is into if she's reading it right infront of you.. or doing even more if you're lucky.

I think that a lot of the ladies are reading it just because there friends are. If it makes women less shy about there wants/needs I'm all for that as long as I don't have to do anymore work.... :P

I'm going to buy this book tonight after reading first 2 chapters i got interested then BAM 'please buy this book' really annoyed me.

I will write my non sexual review on it on a later date

Besides, you have to remember this book was written as a housewives escape from the real world. As I said before, I enjoyed it as a bit of a giggle(thats it), but then I'm a VERY busy housewife.....and I'm certainly not shy as to what I require from PeggyLeg

FA - you dont like my use of the phrase " admit to reading it " ... Ok, but my point stands that the book sells incredble amounts, but you'll do well to find 5 women who are going to say anything serious about why they like it....

can you give us a brief synopsis of what happens in the book ?

From this thread I guess the first 100 pages tell the tale of a humdrum lifestyle led by a sexually frustrated housewife...

the next 200 tell the tale of how a meeting with a 6ft tall hunk with cruel eyes and a " pink room of pain" in his trendy flat led her to new heights of erotic pleasure , helped by lists of apparatus to be bought from B&Q that wont be used for putting the shelves up or lighting the BBQ....

When Grey comes round to light your fire, the blow torch wanders into medieval territory last discussed in "Pulp Fiction", but the woman on the receiving end likes it !

Well, I read the first two chapters and it was just about when Anastasia goes to see Mr Grey for the meeting that was supposed to be Miss Kavagnah. And she thinks Mr Grey is just arrogant and frustrates her.

I've bought it anyway so I will have a good read on it tonight and write my actual opinion on the book. But I don't think it will live up to its 'hype' most women are giving.
