(If nothing else, this derailed thread will give Simon something to laugh at)

just found this out - poor Toady. I think the number of replies to this thread over a matter of hours show how well regarded he is here.

Given the number of us that have ventured across the channel with little incident and no harm to selves in the last 2 years, he was very unlucky.

Good job he's a toad not a frog, or he might be comoing home with 2 limbs missing as well as the bike

Will give Lesley a shout to see if we can do anything this end.

Well done Jelster and Leigh for doing the business.

Get well soon Si...
If the nurses start looking at you all funny like... around dinner time...
.... French food.. Yum yum........................... Mr toad...

Wash Mr Toad legs in cold water, drain. Put flour, lemon pepper, salt and black pepper in a bag and shake to mix. Shake Mr Toad legs in the seasoned flour to coat, dip in beaten egg and roll in cracker crumbs. Deep fry at 365 degrees for 7 to 8 minutes or until golden brown.

Just joking.....

Here's to a speedy recovery all the best.

Just had word from Lesley -

"Simon is due to come home on Friday - to England at least, though probably a hospital here."

They'd better be prepared for one or two visitors!
