I'm in Woking (about 40mins from Ruislip according to google maps )
I think I might have had a breakthrough with the bike last night.. managed to get a spark at both plugs (I reckon it's probably a loose connection) but I don't know how to stop the same thing happening again...
Will check it again tonight to see if it was just lucky..
So I might still be able to come on Saturday..

The instructors to split into groups and whilst one lot are teaching you in the room the others are looking the bikes over, so if your tyre is illegal they will send you to get it replaced as they did with rear brakes on someone who did the bikesafe day with me a few years back.

Chris why is it illegal? Hev you checked the rules thoroughly?

Nice one Josh. Go through the Haynes and check the entire ignition system. Make sure your battery terminals and main Earth are connected good and strong.

Chris if the tyre is worn out, I would get changed I wouldn't have a traffic cop, look at anything I own knowing something is up with it.

Its 2/3 thirds of tyre must have 1mm tread depth, bar the outisde 1/8 of outside of the tyre.

Essintal do a late night wednesday can't you get over there tomorrow?

I was using the Haynes manual and the yorkie_chris special edition (printed msn conversation )
I'm sure it's in the haynes manual (I'm not at home at the moment), but wereabouts is the main earth?

Might have been a dodgy connection in the ignition control unit which got re-jogged when I connected it back up Not sure how I'm going to find it/secure it/replace the wire.
Will study the Haynes manual when I get home

well it's down to the wear mark in the centre of the rear tyre, which i thought makes it no longer legal i might be able to get to essential on wednesday evening, but i'm not sure yet.
