It was the weatherman's fault. He said that it was going to be a crummy day yesterday, so I ventured into the shed instead of going out. The Americans fit these to their F3s, so good old Google came to the rescue with the clock wiring. I do need to get hold of a Fireblade temp sensor, then that lot should be sorted.
i went outside for an hour last night & wired the lights up too, so now have full electrics except for indicators, which don't work, so I'll have a look at the flasher relay to see it that's faulty, other than that, I think that it's a case of stripping her down & getting the bodywork off to my mate for painting.

I had big plans for this weekend, but that didn't happen. I worked Saturday & serviced the Triumph on Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon was spent tidying the wiring up, which is now done. I found out why the indicators didn't work....There was no flasher relay! I was lucky enough to have one in my toolbox. All of the wires have been soldered, so shouldn't have any issues.
So in 3 hours, we went from this

To this.

All I will say is....... Never again, it did my head in

Spent some time on the Triumph yesterday, new chain & sprocket kit, plus a wash (2nd this year), so didn't get too much time on the CBR.
I have removed the low speed servo & pipework associated with it. This was a mass of pipes going to carbs etc. A few of them were for low speed running (up to 15mph) It also had a servo & a couple of small air boxes, which have now been dumped. Apparently this is a HRC modification for race bikes. I have fitted the headers & radiator too, so hopefully, in the next few days I will refill with coolant & oil, then see if she fires up
I must admit that I'm still not really "feeling it", so am not replacing bolts & cleaning parts up like I did with the SV. I just want to get it finished, MOT'd & then have a mess about on it.

Well, she lives How happy am I? Filled her with the required juices last night & tried to kick her up, but the battery was on the worst part of flat, so charged it overnight. I put it on this morning & after quite a lot of spinning over she coughed. My face lit up when eventually she fired into life. I couldn't rev her too much as it was 6.30am & I think my neighbours may have been round with hatchets lol. So, it's onwards & upwards with the Autosol & get the bodywork out to paint very shortly.

Yay!
Bet you were a happy chappy on the way to work this morning.

Nice, as you say about lacking inspiration at the moment, get it going and on the road and then you will have no end of ideas for changing it

Haven't replied to all the updates but I have enjoyed reading and seeing the pics as they are posted, bravo for keeping it going!
