I bought a cheap watch from Argos and then just used the strap it came with to attach to the Yoke, I got the idea from Viney.

Exactly what I did.

Viney must have got the idea from me.

I have an oxford stick on clock and its decent enough.

Has time/date/temperature/ice warning and a few other gizmo's.

I got it for £5 in a sale.

Check directly with Oxford or any of their dealers.

I use the older squarer oxford stick on clock. Does not have temperature dispaly but has larger numbers viewable from more angles so you can actually see it while travelling. Hein Gericke sell them for about £10. Could really do with a backlight though.

Stuck at a jaunty angle on the top yoke.

Set it 5 minutes fast and am never late for anything anymore.

Cheap Casio for me. But now I've got my nice new top yoke I've velcroed it to the Brake fluid lid.

Yeah I did the "dig out and old watch and strap in on the bars" thing, well that was only for a couple of weeks mind, as i noticed one day it happened to be my £250 Aqualung old diver watch ,

the motorbike specific clocks range from about £7 up to stem or bar mount billet items of £45 and upwards.

for £7 you'll get one of these

this is the new oxford one £18

I quite like these ones , the "Little Ben" range from about £17 to just over the £20 mark, come in a number of face and case combos ( cases black/chrome/ stainless or titanium, faces in luminous (sp?) white or black)

after that it's silly money time, very pretty but a lot of dosh for the billet items.

or of course you could always take a waterproof 12v clock from another bike and mount that as I prevoiusly done on mine.

Now those looks like something you can actually read and with the bonus of an ambient temperature gauge and an ice warning.

Be careful with the new oxford ones. I thought they looked great and got one when they first came out.

However:-
Dispaly digits were a lot smaller than in that pic
Temp display is instead of, not as well as clock
The ice warner was potentially useful but given the digits were so small, doubt I'd ever have noticed it.

But oxford usually listen to customer feedback so perhaps the later ones have bigger digits and an improved viewing angle.
