I got some plain custom earplugs at a show. Best 45 quid I ever spent. Really comfy, wore them for 600 miles in a day worth of riding. With the old orange disposable ones i could only ride for an hour before they started hurting.

Seem to use the same in-ear bits, just better sound.

When the only place to get EX71's was Dixons, I used to pay £35 for a pair.

But worth it.

No problems with lid

Hmm read this thread radomly and then clicked the links to see what you were looking at. SoulKiss's EX71's looked suspiciously like the 'phones I use... and so I turned around, pulled the box out of my box storage (I'm sad like that) and I've got Sony MDR-EX70LPs, which cost me about £35 a few years ago. I got them on the recommendation of a friend who really likes his music. They sound fine and I get on ok with them in the gym but I didn't get on with them under a helmet. My friend moved onto some really nice ones that cost him about £100 (must find out what they were). Nothing has ever sounded as good as my Grado SR80s though you'd never get them under a helmet. Unfortunately I damaged the cable and the thought of doing that still makes me cry.

I wear those sonys at the mo (the really really in ear ones) and they sound great. But at motorway speeds there's still too much noise getting in! Listening to audioboks just get drowned out (dads army )

but i have to say i would buy them again if they broke tomorrow
(excellent sound and noise isolation)
Note: You can just click the link it does work even if the display of it is a bit fu
