Mine's mounted similar to Bibio's and has never really worked properly. Not sure if it works better more vertical or maybe my feed tube is mounted too tortuously but mine it very hit and miss.

one of the main reasons that a scotty wont work properly is people filling them via the breather tube, filling via the breather blocks the cotton gauze so the scotty cant breathe. always fill via taking the rubber 'bung' out.

another reasons are too tight cable ties which pinches the feed tube and restricts flow, feed nib end cut at the wrong angle or rubbing against the sprocket, the stupid 'internal wire' they (used to) supply gets jammed in the feed nib and overall bad routing of the feed tube.

something else to note is always 'mushroom' the ends of the vacuum tube at both ends and same goes for the feed nib into the feed tube.

The kit's arrived now so with luck I'll get it fitted at the weekend. Any photos of locations for the reservoir would be appreciated, although I think I'm going to try for under the pillion to start with.
