After a few rides on the R1 I noticed a slight handlign problem, a slight tendancy tip into corners with the bars feeling like they wanted to turn themselves.

At first I put it down to new bike feeling, they always feel a little strange at first, but knew something wasnt right. Anyway, stumped up for a new set of rubber and the bike is transformed. What a total pleasure to ride!

Glad you ironed that one out quickly. They're quite lumbering the R1's out the box, takes a lotta rider interaction to get them doing precisely what you want.

Although both shouldn't be there, I don't really see how either are lethal.

Once the rear spindle's torqued up do the chain adjusters actually do anything anyway?

In you stamp on the rear brake the calliper will move clockwise and stop against the lug that should have been inside the recess anyway. High speed reverse rear braking may get a tad interesting but not something most people find themselves doing too often.

As mentioned previously though the biggest concern is that if these relatively easy things have been done wrong, what else lurks within? Hopefully it was just a muppet tyre fitter and not an indication of broader muppetary.
