Valve clearance checking.
I assume the answer is no, but before I go making a right old mess on the drive-way, do you have to drain the engine oil before checking the valve clearances? Head covers off, dynamo plug out and viewing hole plug out. Any of those below the natural oil level and full of oil? K3 SV1000 if it makes any difference.
Cheers, Mark

Only if you choose to do it upside down.

Re: Valve clearance checking.
All of the above true, just like to add how easy it is to adjust SV1000 clearances as you don't don't need to disturb the camchain to do it, a lovely and most welcome bit of design.
Just ensure the decompressors don't interfere with your measurements.
