Default Huggers for K5

Well having searched on here, there doesn't seem to be much info on huggers available and recommendations, other than those for a K3 won't fit. OEM ones seem very expensive, and both Ermax & Powerbronze only list for K3-K4. Has anyone got any personal recommendations?

Weird, I was just going to post the same thing...

I'm sure someone out there has fitted one to a K5

EDIT: Gazza, I've just had a look through the 2006 demon tweeks catalogue, found the following (which for some reason doesn't appear on thir website):

Pyramid Huggers

SV650S 04-05 in Black: £74.99 - part no. 07033B
SV650S 04-05 in Carbon: £119.99 - part no. 07032A

Huggers for the K3 are listed separately, but then I found this:

Powerbronze Huggers

SV650 '05 in Black / Carbon from £69.00 - part no. HSU22

The k3 & k4 are listed as the same part number though, so it looks like they can't decide whether a k4 is the same as a k3 or a k5

I wouldnt be too sure on the Powerbronze one! I bought one that was claimed to be for the k5 but not sure on fit and def not sure on the looks of it (was very big) and also had extra hole for screw that wasnt on bike so left it off and will be putting on eBay in next couple of days!

That hugger looks suspiciously like the Skidmarx hugger I have fitted to my K4.

Mine's plain black, like yours, and I've been pleased with it. It's an easy and relatively quick fit and, as mentioned, there are no cable ties involved. It was a little close to the original Dunlop, but there's more clearance with the Conti Road Attack I have now.

I think they do coloured and carbon-look versions, too. They're made out of fibreglass, rather than moulded plastic. They do do different versions for the K3 and K4+ models. You can see in one of the photos where the hugger has been cut away to clear the toolbox for the K4+ bikes.

Huggers for a k3 won't fit k4 or k5, because the toolbox got relocated and gets in the way.
