June Photo Competition: Out of my element
Very surprised to have one, although going by the comments it was very much a vote for the subject matter than any skill behind the lens.
So, to the next theme: I've just spent half-term visiting various relatives, so "Out of my element" seems to be rather apt. This could be literal: something outside its natural element, eg something that should be underground being in the air, something that should be in the air being underwater or figurative: something just in the wrong place or situation for it / you I hope this theme works out, good luck and enjoy!

Re: June Photo Competition: Out of my element
Not really sure where this thing should really be but in the middle of a pier in Wales seems a very strange place for a cross-dressing monkey to be found....

Re: June Photo Competition: Out of my element
I may change mine but I'll put this up to be going on with. Four little boys, how does that fit the theme? These are children in a refugee camp in Northern Thailand. Their families are Burmese and they are now trapped in on the nomansland of being illegal aliens in a country where they will have little prospect of an education or medical care and they won't be permitted to work so face a pretty miserable life. I was given permission to visit the camp and see what sort of life these poor kids lead - they can't go back to Burma and they can't live freely in Thailand.

Bought a £2 glass orb from Ebay & had a play with it. She's in her own little world.
