winter storage mode *advice*
Ok so iv just got my SV but i wont be riding til mid to late Jan due to money for christmas, is it worth me putting the bike in storage mode? ie. preservative fuel, oil in the plugs and takin tha battery off?

Last year I did all of the above except oil in the plugs.
I did give it a change of oil and filter as this removes any moisture and acids contained in the old oil. I turned the motor over once in a while, but that's not strictly neccessary Plus the tyres were lifted off the concrete as this doesn't do them any good. But you're not laying it up for too long, so I wouldn't worry too much

if you lift the tyres off ground in the cold weather would be useful overwise, just starting it up a few times just to keep her in good running order and it will be fine for a couple of months.
