Default Riding to the arctic

Might be of interest to some, a few blokes from UKRM are currently about 90km south of the Arctic Circle, on their way to Nordkapp. On bikes. Camping.

They're unlikely to make the ultimate goal (not least because the last 60km or so of roads are completely closed and they're running behind schedule) but they should be camping inside the arctic circle in the next 48 hours. The magnificent idiots.

Riding to the Arctic, are they mad?? Traffic will be a nightmare this time of year

I dont really follow much on tw@er but i'll keep an eye on this. Obviously the roads wont be like that now but if you look on google the streetview cars been there. Sort of takes away the sense of adventure for me that!

That was this morning, they've been riding over rutted ice today in heavy wind. 5 hours, 100 miles, 3 crashes, no injuries (yet)...

He don't post much these days, since the ST made it's appearance.

ST1050s seem to destroy everyone's enthusiasm for anything.

Suffice to say he's not on the trumpet in Norway.

Well, they've turned round about 100km from the circle.

One case of possible frostbite, though the others may try again tomorrow.
