Danmoto exhaust on SV1000?
Just after a bit of advice guys, I've ordered a danmoto jisu exhaust for my thou and I'm wondering if anyone on here has one?
If so:- did you have any dramas with customs ie hold ups or charges? How is it holding up? |

Re: Danmoto exhaust
All I know is that a fine chap turned up with one to a trackday in March this year, did one lap then removed it cos it was so loud!!
ENJOY!

Re: Danmoto exhaust on SV1000?
Ordered one for my 650 and took about 3 weeks to arrive. It goes by ship rather than by air post. Easy to fit but you may wont to get another strap as the one it comes with seems a bit flimsy and made from an old tin can. Sounds mental and WILL WAKE THE DEAD.

I heard that about the strap, where did you get your replacement from? I ordered the baffles as well! The tracking info says it is awaiting customs clearance, it was only sent on the 5th!

Re: Danmoto exhaust on SV1000?
The exhaust was delivered yesterday, ordered on the 5th delivered on the 10th, now that's good service! I ordered them from the danmoto web site for £172 with 2 baffles, no import tax either. I'll get some pics up soon as and a video to show the sound!

You don't pay import tax on stuff from China. Everything is made in China. China ships so much **** into the UK they could never police it all and tax it properly. I think there may even be an agreement between the UK and China about it all...
... I have a Danmoto on my 650. Epic fun! |

Re: Danmoto exhaust on SV1000?
Just luck I think, I tried checking and uk.gov say it should be £34 but it went straight through customs. Things like electronic devices don't attract import tax but bike parts above something like £13 do
