Default Anyone else a member of TVAM

That's the Thames Vale Advance Motorcyclists club, not the defunct ealy morning TV show. If so, please come and say hello if you're at St.Crispins this Sunday. I'm on a blue naked, and will be wearing a red/black jacket, black leather trousers and a Red HJC helmet.

Cheers,
Mark

Definitely recommend it.

I was expecting a load of boring old farts with big beards on Pans and wings. There are a few of those there, but most are normal people on blades, R1s, GSXRs etc. I’ve learnt loads and it’s nice to go out with someone who is a better rider than you when starting out like me as they give you confidence to progress. I’ve also spoken to loads of “track day heroes” who despite thinking it was going to be crap have learned loads and are now much smoother riders than they used to be.

Not yet, but got my first 'A' this weekend after a clean sweep of B's on every other ride. Only joined tail end of summer last year and was far too cold last couple of months to go out. Hoping to get it sorted this summer in time for my insurance renewal in July.

I like the idea of going out with people who have nothing to prove who I can learn from. I don't know any other bikers round here (Fleet) so it's either go out on my own which is a bit dull or tag along with other bikers you find while out which can be a bit dangerous as you don't know if they have their stupid level set to 11.
