Question SV650 charging problems

Hi, i'm wondering if anyone can help me. I've bought my wife an SV650s for her first bike, which she's quite in love with, however it doesn't seem to be charging properly. When switched off the battery tests 12.77 volts, and when running 13.26. However when the lights are turned on it goes down to 12.40 volts. Needless to say its running out of charge on a run out. I have tested whats going into the Regulator rectifier and thats 14v on each of the three wires. Could it be the rectifier thats broken, or if it was woult it always be at negative charge?

Thanks anyone for you're help in advance. Bertiew

Nice one Geodude. So has this sorted the problem, did you fuse the black wire and how long has it ran okay since the fix?

Thanks Bertiew

We only live 2 miles from diner, in fact our bikes are kept in toft hill lol. For obvious reasons i'll delete this in ten mins, but next time you're thinking of coming over this way 666 number never changes. Bertie
