What is everyone else getting mpg ?
I'm just wondering how much people are getting on there tank of fuel. As I have a 2005 sv650 if model and sometimes I get up to 100 miles before the fuel light comes on and so far I've got up to 125 miles and it's not on yet. How many miles have you done on a full tank. Thanks

Re: What is everyone else getting mpg ?
SV650S K6, only had it 6 weeks but I recently did 140 miles from brim-full before refuelling, and the fuel light still wasn't on. That's with mixed riding, some town work, some cruising, some making progress

Fair enough I'm not entirely convinced it works lol ( fuel light ) as mine once came on for about a minute , didn't flash and then went out again lol

Re: What is everyone else getting mpg ?
10 miles per litre on a K3sv1000 pretty much regardless of how I'm riding it. Comes out to 112 miles between full and yellow light.

K8. Average 60mpg. That's about 160miles to flashing light and about 224 from filling up to stunning out of fuel.

i'm not stuck in traffic up here when out on my runs and i'm doing 30-50 mile stints without stopping for longer that 2-3min at junctions or lights. yesterday was a short run, filled up in the morning and done 198miles. the light as usual came on at 170 odd miles and i filled up with 14.42ltr. i always brim my tank that leaves 2.5ltr still in the tank at 13mpl so i could have gone another 32 miles till i was pushing. the sv has 4ltr in reserve when the light starts the slow on/off so i know once that light comes on i have 50 miles left in the tank. |
