Mystery find in pointy tail wiring
Does anyone have any idea what this could be? And why its wired like that? Found it while trying to fix an immobiliser problem

Does your bike have aftermarket, LED indicators?

Re: Mystery find in pointy tail wiring
Looks like a reed switch for an aftermarket alarm. Probably to trigger when the pillion seat is lifted.
Any sign there was the other half on the underside of the seat? |

Re: Mystery find in pointy tail wiring
Hi, I believe its a reed switch that is normally screwed down and then opened and closed by a magnet attached to something movable. Could it be from an alarm system to detect seat removal?

Re: Mystery find in pointy tail wiring
A google search of the part number confirms it as a reed switch
