How thick is the swingarm on a thou?
Not the kind of question I ask myself too often however, a bit of mine is a bit thinner so would be handy to know......
OK. K3 Naked SV thou. Braided hose upgrade carried out by previous owner. By the main swingarm pivot point there is a weld connecting the "arms" to the "cross brace bit". It looks like the braided hose rubs against this when out and about and has actually worn a groove into the alloy of the swing-arm where it meets the weld. I've not had a proper look at it yet, so few questions of which some may become stupid when I actually get out there and poke around a bit. 1. Is it possible for braided hose metal to grind a slot in the swing-arm? 2. Is there normally a groove to the outside of the off-side weld? 3. I'm probably less than 1mm deep at the deepest point. How much meat is there left? 4. What would you recommend putting in there as a buffer that will not damage the hose (bad) or the swing arm (very bad)? 5. Anyone got a spare swing arm for a thou kicking about? Anyone got any real-word experience of what these things look like in cross section? Cheers, Mark

Just fix the brakeline to stop it rubbing, it'll be fine.

How about a piece of nylon spiral-wrap around the hose where it crosses the swing arm? If that's too visible try a piece of black rubber hose, cut along one side and wrapped around the pipe.

A naked thou? Be serious - that's like asking for good S/H naked curvy clocks .
