As you're the experts I thought I'll ask you guys. I'm interested in getting an SV (got the idea on sat - woke up with it and it's sticking) and there are some 07 ones around still in the shops, is there much difference you think between an 07 or 08 bike?

Yep, once the 08 bikes come out the price of the 07 will drop hugely! Other than that as far as I know there isn't a major update planned.

I'm pretty good once you get to know me. 3799 sounds pretty good to me. Try to haggle over getting stuff like a first service, or a good deal on kit and you'll be laughing!
Nice roads in sussex, I go there a lot in summer. Get a black one, or a green one what has got kawasaki on the tank, and you'll be on the right track... |

The place is swamped here with kawasakis so thank you no (dealer Alfs nearby). Once had a pillion ride on a ZXR, had to close my eyes
![]() I am hoping to get the servicing done by a small indepent workshop much cheaper and more personal. The dealer i saw this advertised is somewhere in Kent, will try a dealer a bit closer first. Think I would like a fly-screen as one of the reasons I want to change bikes is being blown off my harley (yes they do go over 60 mph). And it has to be lowered.... |

There's a few of the vertically challenged (or advantaged? I bet you don't bump your head on the doorframe!) on here who can help a lot.

Only difference will be in the colours.
If you can find an 07 bike in a colour you like then go for that as you should be able to get it for less than an 08 bike IMHO. As for lowering, you can fit or get fitted longer dogbones on the rear end, these lower the height of the rear if you are short of leg should help you, Mt other half has had her SV lowered this way, Also you can drop the forks in the yokes a little ( 10mm or so ) and this helps to. Any reputable dealer / garage should be able to do this work for you. The other thing to do is get some foam cut out of the seat, personally I'd try this first as its less work that getting the dogbones etc fitted. HTH
