Default aluminum exhaust?

I'm a newbie with a 99 sv650N that I just bought 2 weeks ago. Love IT!! But she needs an exhaust system so I can hear that V-twin! Any thoughts on the Muzzy aluminum slip-on? It is the cheapest slip-on by far and I hear that muzzy cans sound good. Should I go ahead and get it? $238 US Thanks!!

If its cheap and your happy to pay that amount then there is no stopping you. You'll only get that lovely V-twin rumble with a slip-on, no extra power. A regular polish with a decent metal polish like Autosol will help protect the aluminium.

Thanks! That rumble is all I want. I was a bit hesitant because of the cheaper price compared to Aluminum and carbon fiber. I'm ordering it now! Should I attempt to install myself or take her to the shop? I have minimal tools and mechanical experience. What do you think?

That being the case ,maybe better to get a shop to do it or a friend who knows what they are doing.

Guess I'll play it safe with the shop then. Do you think a muffler shop would do it, or does it have to be a motorcycle specific shop?

Not to sure to be honest but a bike shop will be a definite, it won't take long to do either!
