Just been researching this bike and looking for deals on it. Stumbled on an american site selling it for $8500 which is £4373 MRP. Are they having a laugh?! So us poor English are paying £7400. A lot of other US sites sell them for around the £5k mark so it's no one off!
Sorry had to post this! Makes my blood boil! ![]() ![]() |

Same with the SV! I think it's just over a grand cheaper for the naked K8 SV. It is bloody annoying!

I think it's scandalous m8! Assuming emissions rules add to expense but not 3k more that's for sure!
Importing time!? |

Depends how much you'd have to spend to get in on the road over here but with a three grand difference on the CBR, I reckon you might be able to get it on the road and still save some money.

Bearing in mind money is worth less over there, they genrally earn less so things cost less. Its all relative.
A bit like complaining that a beer in india is 10p or whatever, 10p is prabably roughly the same value as a 3 pound pint over here given the wages. |

Didn't think about that neio, you're probably right. But shouldn't the cost of such products be the same wherever you are. It sounds like they're pricing them based on your affordability but the underlying product doesn't cost any more wherever it is sold.
If each country made them and sold them to their own markets, price differences could be expected but aren't they all made in one place?! I dunno, just gawls me to spend 7.4k when one can be had 3k cheaper that's all! ![]() BTW How much did you pay for your zx neio? Good price? Possible interested in one of those too ![]() |

But you are right it seems anoying to see we have to pay 3K more for the same bike. My ZX, got a cracking deal on it yes. Traded my 53 SV in for 2K, the ZX was going for 5500 OTR so only really had to pay 3500 for a new bike ![]() That was George whites in Swindon. |

It's rip-off Britain, that's all. There's no real justification other than we'll pay it, and our government takes a slice at every transaction
Saying that, petrol has hit 50p/litre over there ![]() |
