Posted this on the CBR forum (sorry), but I thought a X post here might get some response as well.
I'm about to go on a weeks tour round France. In the past I've gone for 4 days and managed with a rucksack. It was pretty stuffed and got a little uncomfortable carrying it on my back for 8 hours. This year I was going to get some panniers or a tailpack, but was not sure if it would work on the RR cos of the underseat exhaust. Has anyone got any experience with either panniers or tailpack? Which make? Does it work? I've contacted Oxford Products and they say I need a rack to mount them on. Shurely shome mishtake. |

I recently bought some 40ltr oxford sport panniers to fit on the daytona to go to the AR on, I was surprised at how good they were at speeds in excess of the national speed limits and on private roads of course

I've got a Kreiga US20, it has two straps that go under the seat, so I dont know how that would work on your RR. Is there any heat shielding between the can and the seat ?
Its really good its easy to fit and once fitted is rock solid and doesnt move. More info on fitting it is here http://www.kriega.com/pages_uk/us20/...pframeset.html

I bought the panniers off ebay for £41, they were bought new but never used, you may find a bargain there

Panniers/Tailpack is something that me and the missus are looking out for ourselves.
Came across a suggestion for a Bags Connection Racepack or Speedpack in another thread. Might be something worth considering. The Racepack seems to sit quite high so shouldn't foul your exhaust. Available from here: http://www.motohaus.com/acatalog/SW_...onnection.html More info here: http://www.bags-connection.com/hecktaschen/ Don't know what they are like but I am seriously considering taking a punt on a Racepack for the SV. Has a nice option to add a tent bag as well. Regards, John. |
