Default Fuel Saver - Is this a gimic?

http://www.spongecars.com/fuelsaver/how.htm

Just seen this and it would be well worth anyone buying one of these for a 10-27% saving.....is it just a gimic?

The science behind it may be accurate.

But if it was really worthwhile, as is always said, all manafacturers would already have a similar system in place.

The key word there is neodynium superconductors. Now this is a truth...but Neodyniu, superconducting mterials superconduct at very low tempuratures.

SO yea, at first glance this strokes me as a gimmick

Save fuel by accelerating smoothly, keeping your throttle movments minimal and use the right gear for the given situation

A quote that is incorrect:

Quote:
What is a hydrocarbon?
It is the hydrogen and carbon content of the fuel
Ummm.....no. The term "Hydrocarbon" is a bit of a catch-all catagory refering to compounds with both carbon and hydrogen in them; more specifically, compounds with ONLY carbon and hydrogen with them (at least, thats what I would take hydrocarbon to be). For example, the principle component of petrol, Octane (8 carbon atoms and 18 hydrogen atoms).

Give it a go, you never know. While we're on the subject I have a few remaining bottles of Snake Oil which, when applied to your tyres will make you go faster, corner harder, and satisfy 8 women at a time in the bedroom: no more, no less.

It works by a process of the Unobtanium in the snake oil reacting with the boswellox in the tyres to create an ostekazoozelum flux in the dynamic range of the flange adjustment...

I think my response was a lot more concise.

LMAO. Only a fool would fall for this! How can a magnet cause better combustion or make the engine use less fuel... If it did you'd run lean and melt your engine... I guess then youd save fuel as you'd have no way of using it. I know someone who uses one on all her stuff, gas etc. I was like WTF are you stupid? She didnt like that... LOL She was sure it worked, but no doubt never checked with a simple MPG sum.

Bear, you didn't mention that it may cause some seepage of 1,4-dichlorozenzazabene. Thats naughty, very naughty Bear. We don;t want people's nipples falling off because they didn't also buy the Synergetic Pill to combat said seepage.
