Do i have the correct battery?
I have just purchased a sv650s 1999. I got it from a friend and i know it has had charging problems. However the recitifer has been replaced and everything sees ok.
Currently i cannot check the charging system properly as it not insured at the moment. I just have a quick question the battery model does not match the one specified in the manual. Could this have caused the issue? Th Battery says - CTx14-BS Part Number 712140. I a going to investigate the problem this weekend when i do some maintenance. Any help would be much appreciated!! |

I have a Yuasa YTZ12S.
Fitted for me by the (Honda) dealer that I bought the bike from. |

Sounds like you have a battery more heavy duty than you maybe need. So it should be fine!
