Default Brake rotors

Ok so some of you might just shoot me down in flames here but does anybody know if it possible to replace the buttons between the rotor and carrier on the front and rear discs?

all the best

The rear doesn't have buttons.

Front, it depends on the disc, however since it's a steel button, with usually an alloy carrier it is the alloy carrier that takes the stick and ends up distorted.

thanks for the quick reply chris.

silly me i should have remembered the rear didnt have them.

the discs arn't loose in anyway its just that the buttons have rusted badly as i use the bike come rain or shine its been used every day and even with my best efforts with waxoyl, fs365 and acf50 the buttons have suffered and it spoils the look of the bike so id like to replace them.

its then only thing ive left to do but as im a student i cant afford to buy new discs so i though replacing the buttons would be cheaper

all the best

It's possible that one of the companies that make replacement pad tracks will supply you with the rivets.
That way of replacing the discs is less common now though, so I don't have suggestion as to who will be able to help.
