Now guys,
Just a quick question......hopefully. I have a 750 k4 wheel, if I buy 600 k7 forks, yokes and axle will they fit together without any modifictions? The table that gives compatibility doesn't really cover the newer forks and stuff. The link to the table is below, just incase I've read it wrong ![]() http://www.gregoryli.com/2007/06/gsx...wap-parts.html Thanks Bunks |

Try having a look round www.gixerjunkies.com they should be able to answer your question.

I think the K5-K6 onwards stuff uses different parts TBH. Before that (everything since the slingshots AFAIK) uses the exact same stem as the pointy. I think after that, they changed to a shorter stem. Now I could be very wrong because I'm going on a conversation in a pub. But find someone who's done it first
![]() Why not just get the K4 parts? The steering stem, locks and ignition are known to work then.

I don't think the k4 wheel as standard can match with the k7 forks. The k4 rotors are 298mm whereas the k7 front end is for 310mm rotors; the calipers won't be able to fit on.
What you may be able to do is to chuck the standard rotors for 320mm ones and then use 5mm spacers between the k7 fork legs and brake calipers to get them in the right position for the rotors. There is a pretty good up-to-date table camparing gsxr front end specs here; http://eviltwinsbk.com/forumz/index.php?topic=91.0 just a little way down the page. Using this I'd reckon a good replacement rotor would be off a GSXR1000 K1/2. Hope this helps... ![]() |

I thought the forks might be different. Been looking for the K4 parts for a while but haven't seen any, there are some k7 forks on e-bay at the mo, hence the question. I'll just have to wait a little longer and keep scaning e-bay! ![]() Thanks YC Bunks |

Heh heh, yeah if you can the easiest thing is to just get all the parts from the same year. It'd be a case of keeping a constant eye on ebay.
I'm dreaming of one day sorting a K4/K5 GSXR600/750 front end with R1 radial brakes and master cylinder for my curvy...yum yum! ![]() |

You can use a K4 wheel with K7 forks, you just need to use SV1000 rotors. All the rest fits - well it did on mine.
