Default divvy asking a question on head lights

Whats the difference between HID and XENON? my head lights on the beemer are the projector lens type which i take it i need a H7 bulb for, i want my lights to be the bright white colour not the yellow type i got now the lights i want also look blueish from the front? can anyone help me as i know jack sh#t about this.

As far as I'm aware:
HID requires a conversion of your lamp and adding/exchanging some components as it's a different system in it's self.

Xenon is just a different type of bulb I think which is likely to be brighter than standard.*



If you just want brighter, whiter looking bulbs with miminal effort people rave about osram night breakers and phillips extreme's. Not sure if they make these in the H7 though - would guess they would. I got a pair of Osrams (I think, might have been the phillips's actually) off ebay for like £10 posted.

*However, reportedly unlikely to be any good if bought from a ebay chav shop.

And if you use the code 'STRATHY' you get a nice big discount on that site

Costed up a pair of H7 with slim ballast for my sprint last night, price went from £132 down to about £95
