Default Car insurance question.

Do I have to declare bike claims on car insurance ...
I had my 125 stolen back in 2008, and claimed for total loss do i need to make them aware of this when doing new quotes ?

Cheers Ant.

Ask the insurance company involved, some do, some don't include claims for other class of vehicles
They may consider a locked car less likely to be stolen than a motorbike.

Just noticed your location----------NO CHANCE

As a general rule if the company offers motorcycle insurance they have the facility to factor motorcycle claims into their calculations

That's what Admiral told me...

I've found admiral and aviva don't rape your premium because of bike claims.
I'd notify all insurers to keep it legal but I'm with admiral and they've given me written notification that they're aware of my bike claims but were willing to use lube.

*all credit TLW for bringing this to me attention

Most insurers word it "any motoring claims or accidents" that will also include bikes

it is specific to insurers, I am named on catherines car and they didnt care about me crashing my Tuono, however my company policy who insurers my company car did care.

Honesty is the only way to be sure.
