Specifically capacitive ones.
Is there any way to work out what level of fuel needs to be in a tank before it goes, "Crap, man, you're low on fuel"? Thinking of...improvising...one onto the Hornet and don't really want to mess around with a floating one if I can help it. Just have a nice big light on the dash going "YOU'RE ALMOST OUT OF FUEL!". |

You could stick a piece of metal with a black marker line running up it where you want it to go, fill the tank with the amount of fuel you want it to alert at. Then drain, the petrol will have washed the marker off the metal, fit the sender at the level you want. Simples.
