Default Scotoiler Dual injector

What are peoples thoughts on these. I have one fitted to my vaccum system and it is becoming a right pain in the ****.

It seems to stop working on one nib for no reason, the timing of the drops from both nibs are vastly different. It keeps moving.

When it works, its great, but in all honestly it's never for long.

Thing I amwondering is I go back to the single nib, is it as efficient at oiling as the dual?

Sid Squid will be along shortly to tell you that the single injector is great and that the dual is not just a waste of time but a fundamental mistake

SVGrandad might then pop in to tell you that his dual injector is fine.

Consensus seems to be that the single one is all that is required.

Every word a gem.

I still don't get how the single one gets a good spread of oil over both sides of the chain?

In the same way that the oil feed to your crank somehow manages ( you hope ) to feed both big ends?

Diffusion/capillary action/splurge effect

Something like that. Works anyway.

If you look at BP's oil well in the Gulf of Mexico you can see how oil spreads out and creeps until it gets everywhere, including where you dont want it.It doesnt have much trouble getting from one end of a chain roller to the other.

Centrifugal force exists in a rotating reference frame. This is how it gets from the sprocket to the chain - but getting spread over the chain is a sideways movement, so it can't be due to that. Capillary action would be most likely.
