Cadwell on tuesday 17th Aug and then RAF leeming last saturday were asbolutely ace - but now my back brake isn't working..
You can push the lever all the way down to the stop - the pad does connect with the disc but the bike gently rolls to a stop. It's still got original rubber brake lines and has had the same brake fluid & rear pad in it since before I got the bike (I've done 7,500 miles since march) but it was working until the end of saturday when I got home.. So what do we reckon has caused it to fail? Has the brake fluid boiled on track day, then expanded, and now that it has cooled it's left space to expand into? Or has the brake line expanded from the heat maybe? Or could it be the rear pad has thinned right down to the point where there's nothing left? Guesses on a postcard as I'm off to fix it today ![]()

Never mind your back brake! Get the video posted!
![]() C PS, just bleed them. Sounds like the fluid in there has boiled and given off gas. |

you use the back brake on trackdays!!!??? I've only ever used it at Cadwell over the mountain and a little bit where there's that horrible crest on the back section of Oulton. Certainly not enough to cook the pads though. It sounds like it's just boiled - bleed it and it should be fine. Are they braided lines or standard?
