Default New Sv Owner - East Kilbride

Hi folks

I picked up my curvy SV650 today. It's in a T plate in red with 18k on the clock and cost me £1200, so I'm pretty happy with that!

It's very standard with the only addition being an Art can that is very loud and not very legal! I have the original but I think I need to pick up something a bit funkier.

Also looking to tidy the tail end, add a nice screen, pop some new tyres on it and maybe some nice indicators and mirrors. Oh, and some braided brake lines.

Here she is:

welcome to the forum!

You certianly bought the best shape, though yellow is the best colour.

Ride safe, shiny side up and all that!

welcome to the org.

Await the banter on curvey v's pointy but you have made the right choice.

Keep the ART can on the bike. I've got one and i've been told it does sound good. Very difficult to hear the true sound when you're sat on the bike.

Defo keep the ART can on the curvy - it sounds brilliant. PM me, and I'll tell you where to take the bike come MOT time... the guy likes to hear bikes, not washing machines...

I had a blue curvy looooong ago with an ART on it, the longer term members on here will remember it as being a loud bugger, but the sound of it when backing off the throttle was addictive - especially at Knockhill... folk could hear me belting round the far side of the track when other SV's with race cans were on the main fast straight

Thanks everyone!

So does my initial list of mods sound ok? Anything I should add or anything I should particularly avoid doing?
