Default The Mongol Rally

Myself and a couple of other friends are looking at doing this for next year, although we may miss the entry date, but weŽll try.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mongol_Rally

Rough outline, buy a car no larger than a 1.2, get as much sponsorship as possible and try and get from West Sussex to the Mongol capital in an undetermined amount of time.

Advice please.

What cars to recomend? Something easy to repair, cheap and readilly available. (Has to be 2002 or newer and under a 1.2) Both these rules are obsolete if we go in a service vehicle or something useful to the Mongolian government... E.g. Ambulance, fire truck etc...

Any other pointers? Are we mad? And would you sponsor us?
