Thumbs down Re: rst razor suite

I have to agree. I purchased the two piece suit, trousers are as hot as hell without inner lining in, and on the jacket the velcro has come off, also right shoulder armor keeps sliding off my shoulder.

Oh now you tell me! :P I've just bought the two piece but to be fair it's pretty cheap so I'm not expecting too much.

update - I still think they are poor and they are failing in other places. They arent even a year old so Im very dissapointed. Im unlikely to buy any RST product again based on this.

RST have a 1 year warranty on all thier clothing, take it up with the shop where you bought it.

Just to let you know, my RST razor suit has been 100% waterproof and great quality. It's lasted the past year great and still is like new after much use.

I've loved mine so far however I wouldn't say it was 100% waterproof. Perforated leather on the front left me with wet pecs when I was caught out in the rain once. Although I never expected it to be 100% waterproof when perforated!

I think a bit of Clarification should arise here as I'm sure there is a textile "waterproof" and leather version of RST Razor gear

Anyways my opinion of the leather - top notch.

Did what I expected in a crash, it protected me. All I had was a low side at around 40-50 mph, but jacket and trousers can still be used and are only lightly scuffed.

Bruising - all I had on the surface was a bruise on my little finger (so maybe padding could be upped)
A day later my left shoulder (which hit the floor) ached a fair bit. So whilst padding distributed the blow so no surface bruising occurred the joint it's self was bruised from 1 day after the accident till about 4 days after the accident.

Ventilation in the gloves is a bit much on those cold winter mornings but overall I'm happy with the gear.

Nit pickers may point out that some colouring may come off (I noticed some fading on the silver panels that I have) but for something to keep your insides in and your outsides from getting scratched up I can't fault them.
