Looking at thickness of materials and the design, imo they isnt much between them.
The angle or weld at the joint is so close to the other bit, i dont think it will be under any stress tbh.
But generally, curves are better than creases as this is a fracture point and its spread over a curve.
If it was 12" long then i could understand, plus its got a decent wall thickness so if the weld has been done properly, there will be no issues imo.

cheers mate -was unsure if the cut and weld would be as strong as the bent one , although i suspect alot will depend on the quality of the weld itself.

Oooooh shiney

I went to fit mine to the Disco this weekend, amongst other jobs. Mine are fitted to the outriggers, one is attached the body/chassis mount bolt which I found out is Imperial 9/16.... Guess who has a metric socket set...

Stoopid Land Rover designers, the rest of the car is metric, but the body mountings and possibly other chassis bolts are imperial.. Anyway started rounding the first bolt off with my 15mm sockets....

Oh well, they will be on soon enough. How's the trailer coming along?

Shows us a pic when you have the sliders on and consider getting some of that skateboard tape (like a stick sandpaper) for the tree slider bits as they will be slippy when when/muddy

aye stretchie typical LR-meant to fit a straight through centre section and de-cat pipe along with the egr removal and chassis sand and repaint but court and rotten weather has screwed that at the moment-as for the trailer been looking at a few different ideas but can't decide what to go for-was toying with a idea of a 110 rear tub base on a sankey chassis-that way could take it to full height of the landy and would look great colour matched-got me new mini welder delivered today so just need to get the finger out and decide what to do.
