Hi, my curvy is approaching 15000 now, does this mean it's up for a big service?
How much should this approximately cost from a dealer? I'm from stoke on trent or sheffield if any locals know any good garages. How much would I be looking at if I bought my own fluids and replaced them before taking it for it's service on the valves and other stuff? Thanks ![]() |

Hi
If you search Valve clearance / 15 k service you should find plenty on it, but I paid £300 and got loads of other stuff done as well. I think just for the valve check should be no more than £150 (don`t quote me) rgds |

Ask Yorkie Chris. He will give you the full lowdown on this and probably quote you a very good price for doing it.

I think it was serviced not too long ago (will have to have a look at paperwork next time I'm home) but I think it could do with a overhaul, just to ease my mind and having it running sweet over summer when I'm home from uni. Also, how can I drain carbs? As I'm away from the bike for months at a time I think I've managed to block a jet as it ran like crap last time I was home, needs idle set up properly again too. |

You need a ball end 5mm allen key. The drain screws are on the bottom of the float bowls. Bit of a bugger to get at.
