Default Bridgestone BT023

Anyone ridden on these or better still own a pair?

It's what my Triumph Dealer is recommending for tyres for my Daytona, but my past experience of Bridgestones (020 on the SV and the 014 on my Daytona) is that they are not good in the wet.

I've got these on mine at the moment. I too find Bridgestones a bit slippery in the wet, especially when cold - I am not at all confident with them. Lots of people I know swear by Bridgestone's but I personally don't get on with them. My rear needs changing very soon, and I'll definitely be getting the PR2CT again, as I love those! I find the PR2CT so confidence inspiring in the wet and when cold. I was recommended the BT023, but I think that's just because it was a new tyre at the time?
Just my opinion.

Thanks mate. I've been reading up on tyres on here and on Triumph Torque for the last 40 mins since I posted this, and PR2's it is. Can't find a bad word written about them and they certainly seem to be flavour of the year on triumph torque, much like the Avon Storms on here for the SV.

I was gonna consider storms, but bike mag tests this month has put me off, the PR2's always get a good review.

Im waiting for some long term reviews on the PR3's, supposed to be amazing in the wet, but im interested also in their dry performance as well as their mileage.

No probs, just MY opinion though (lots of others may differ - different strokes for different folks) - some people like Marmite, and some don't! In all honesty PR2CT do it for me all the time (against all the other tyres I have ridden with/on in the past ten years or so), so I'll stick with the old saying, "Stick with what you know"!
Glad to be of an opinionated assistance.
PR's FTW!

021 I had were rubbish in anything other than warm and dry.

The 023 is supposed to be no better, I hated every minute of mine.

Had a new rear fitted on my dads Z750, to replace the worn 021 which I got on great with (wet or dry) it already had an 023 on the front.....which has about 1mm of chicken strip left

So yeah, I like 'em

Just had new 023 put on and rode home in the pouring rain. They feel better than the old Sportmax I had before they're even scrubbed in. Got them fitted for £210 and Protyre (Who according to the fitter are about to go bust) wanted £237 for BT021s. Got to cover about 750 miles this week in rain and shine so looking forward to the new boots.

They seem good in the dry, but my rear tyre doesn't feel 'held' onto the road in the wet
