I have a 2001 curvy and am thinking what to do next as it already has alot done to it, im thinking of putting mesh behind the fairing gaps/vents? just wonderd if any one has already done this and if so do you have any pics so I can have a look before I decide to strip It all down, Thanks

been done loads of times.
Works ok and looks ok too. ![]() I used a hot glue gun to fix it on my pointy, was planning to do it on the Daytona too but still cant be bothered to do it two years later... Last edited by speedplay; 18-05-11 at 09:17 PM. |

To cover the whole gap like that looks well naff, i can understand over the rad and the side vents but the whole thing just looks like a trawling net!

Personally I wouldn't bother. I have mesh built in on my Roca belly pan, and like ^^^^he said, its like a trawling net, and not overly pleasant when you go to clean it! Doing it on the curvy fairing holes would be a bit of a disaster on this point alone. Cleaning dead flies off a bike is one thing, but do you reallly fancy picking them out of a net one by one, because they're stuck like glue? Might look good at first, but it won't be long before you wish you hadn't bothered.
PS folks, the fella has an 01 curvy, not a pointy. ![]()
