Default Chassis and handling

How does the shape of a chassis affect handling?

E.g. Apparently the Vmax's chassis is "too weak" and this affect handling

The Vmax chassis is weedy and flexible, makes it feel like it has a hinge in the middle as the wheels don't necessarily stay in the same plane. All sorts of wobbles and weaves.

Shape of chassis has nothing to do with it, it is all about stiffness in various directions.

Back in the world of real bikes, when the bike is at an angle to the surface, a bump is transmitted into the chassis and suspension. Take for example a 45 degree lean angle, only half of the bump size would deflect the suspension, the rest has to be taken up with flex in either the chassis or the tyre.

Massive human factors at play, as flex, feel, tyre deflection and chassis movement all affect how your brain interprets it. Some bikes are too stiff, people racing SPs would often take some bolts out of the engine mountings to let it flex a bit more! Some others like olde schoole suzukies have got a bloody hinge in the middle and the flex in the frame and swingarm will tankslapper you to the moon, and a braced swingarm and/or aftermarket frame completely transforms them.

Dude.. what's wrong with you? How do you know so much? Do you have to buy custom helmets to contain your massive brain? Can I have your number to put it on speed-dial? I wish I lived in "Halifax/Leeds" so I could just watch you make engines with your telekenesis and whatever wonderous things you do. I look forward to meeting you Master Yorkie_Yoda

Thanks! <3

its not quite like that. Hes done an engineering degree and his thirst for knowledge is great. Given a short space of time this will turn into a bitter and twisted take on the world where everything is "not quite right" and he will turn into a bitter old man and his thirst for knowledge will turn him to the dark side.... or possably fishing.
