I've seen a few pointys on here and I really like the look of them. I was wondering if it's possible to convert a naked to a pointy and how difficult would it be along with what bits I need. Anyone on here done it before?

Do you mean that? Pointy naked to Pointy S (half faired) or Curvy to Pointy????

Ah - yes. Pointy naked to pointy half-faired (front). I always thought a pointy was simply a Naked with a 'pointy' front as opposed to a curvy which I though was a fully faired SV. I realised now that the pointy is a more recent SV where the curvy is the pre 2k3 model?

Seems strange, most people go from faired to naked. There are so many faired pointies out there it would be much easier to sell your naked and buy one.
I'll bet someone on here would do you a straight swap

I just think the big round headlight looks a bit gash compared to a nice sleek twin beam hidden inside an aerodynamic housing. Never occurred to me that someone might swap. Might consider it although I do like the idea of 'modding' the bike myself.

Yep, curveys are the 'original' model, pointies 2003 on - Wikipedia.
Anyway, may be tricky as very few fairings and lights come up on Ebay I've seen. I don't know if the naked has bars or clip ons either or the same clocks. May be easier to swap as Winder says! |

Possible it is for certain since they are essentially the same bike with a different front end. But as suggested above, I'm not sure how feasible it would be though.

Do you want to get rid of the bars as well and swap to clip ons? If it's just the single headlight you dislike google SV650 streetfighter and select images. Check out some of the headlights and surrounds, they look awsome. If you really want a faired bike just swap or buy one. Extending your loom, changing yokes, buying the fairing, getting clip ons, plus anything else as I'm sure it won't be that straight forward. Gonna be EXPENSIVE
