Default Short test route around Halesowen

I've got a couple of test rides booked from StreetBike tomorrow afternoon and don't know Halesowen that well...

Can anyone suggest a short route that will let me see how the bike is on all types of roads?

In Halesowen no as its rubbish and all housing etc. However, what I would recommend so you can get a mixture of Dual Carriageway and some bends etc......the main mucklow hill island, head straight on away from Streetbike signposted M5.

Then Follow the signs towards M5 and you will end up on manor Way dual carriageway - here you can open it up a bit......do a loop of the motorway island and back down manor way dual carriageway the way you came.

Then at the big island turn left. This will take you up a big hill towards Romsley.....go through the village and back down the hill other side. Eventually after a good 3-4 miles will reach a T junction with a signpost saying right towards Stourbridge, left towards M5. Go left.....at M5 junction turn left and go along the motorway north bound for one junction.....turn off Junction 3 signposted Halesowen and bare left again down Manor way......go to the big island again but this time go all the way round (ie 180) then take the first left after the Audi garage (its a slip road) you will then be back on the roads heading up to Streetbike. Its a good 12 mile or so loop and would give a good mix of roads to do varying speeds. Thats what I would do anyhow.

Hopefully that works and shows you the correct google route. I used to live few minutes from Streetbike and if I was testing it is what I would do.

Cheers, that really helped! Ended up doing a variation which was about 70 between the 2 bikes.

Current order of preferrence:

1. GSXR750
2. GSXR600
3. StreetTriple

Still to come: CBR, probably Dayton, possibly ZX6R.

Can't believe the difference between the 6 and 750..... it's not just the engine, it's the whole thing.

I can understand why, i loved the 750 i test rode, is a great bike. The Daytona is a close comparison i think, however the gixxer is probably abit more multipurpose.

Yup,

I really want to like the British bike, but I just have a feeling that the 750 is going to be the one I like.....
