Hi Folks,
I am looking to part ways with my beloved Honda SP1 now since I have took ownership of a Triumph 675. If I could afford to keep both I would because the SP1 is an absolutely stunning bike that is quickly becoming quite attractive to collectors it seems (based on the fact a few very low mileage ones recently went for over £6k on eBay) [EDIT] Scrub that...I am now not sure if I can keep the Triumph either due to impending job cuts... £2900 gets the following: 2001 Honda VTR1000 SP1 HPI Cat C in 2002. (a LONG time ago!) 6 Months Tax 4 Months MOT All previous MOT's & has just had large service including valve clearances. DB Screen, Stubby Scorpion Cans, Carbon Fibre Hugger & Power Commander Fitted. Very good condition for age/mileage. Located close to Staines. ![]() Last edited by instigator; 31-05-12 at 09:14 AM. |

You should keep the SP1 its gonna be going up in price especially over the next few years.
The 675's are overdue a price drop, even a 2006 is still around 4k not many other supersports are doing that |

Unfortunately, the SP1 is a cat C which has reduced it's value. The minimum value for a 2001 tends to be about £3600 on eBay, god knows what they go for in Dealers. A fair bit more I imagine.
I've stubbied the cans now so it sounds even more glorious. I may get rid of the D675, whilst it's nice and light and powerful, it's not on par with the SP. Last edited by instigator; 31-05-12 at 09:14 AM. |

My bad - just below 28k as it stands but I use it when I can so this may go up slightly as time passes by. If it had lower miles, it'd be a higher price!

I'd love an SP1 but I would have to sell some of my "classics" to afford one and that isnt happening
The SP is the last ever HRC bike and its all about condition as they get older not whether its a Cat C Last edited by hardhat_harry; 01-06-12 at 01:21 PM. |
