Default PCN issued at 23.18 on Sat night

}Oh what joy ...return to the ZX6 Superbike parked outsid eBetsey Trotwood to find a PCN issued at siad time for contravention of Code 01 .....

Ho ho what a jolly time i had riding home....back wheel was touching a double yellow, merely so the car in front could get out, or i could have squeezed it tight up next to him and given him zero chance of leaving ....course they dont care about that at Islington council on Saturday night at 11.20pm....

Hah hah , what i wouldnt do with a machine gun mounted on the tank..!!!

You could always try claiming that you didnt park it like that and you believe the car owner moved it to get his car in?

As a disclaimer I'd like to point out I've never tried it so I don't know if it'll work but I always figure it's better to offer some defence before paying.

Many years ago some workmen moved my car out of a legitimate space in Islington onto a single yellow as they had to dig a hole and it was some sort of emergency to repair a cable. This is the days before camera phones so I had no proof but I contested it and they cancelled the ticket.

+1 to offering some kind of explanation. I've herd statistics (yeah yeah I know, lies, damn lies and all that) that something over 50% of tickets are issued incorrectly, but many are still paid. Evidence from my dad bears this out. He has contested 9 separate PCN and every single one has been cancelled.

Smeg, I even got one cancelled on a minor technicality when by all rights I should have gotten a ticket. Also remember that the people you contest the ticket to are not the same people who issue the ticket.
