I was just about to stir it up - post about horrid noisy motorbikes - and the buggers have deleted it again Edit - just read your post, it would have been polite, not rude, but with a definite point of view.

They deleted the thread while I was typing a reply. They've just deleted your 'x' file - 'fine, I tried' - as well.

I'm not completely surprised.

Ramblers are just the kind of pretentious barstards who are all for protecting peoples 'rights'... as long as its theirs. They just want to preserve the countryside so everyone can enjoy it, honest.

And in light of their selfless (hrhrhr) intentions, I suggest we rally together all the motorcyclists in the country to get out on foot and trounce the countries rights of way, just like they want us to

I could be hopelessly prejudiced here and label "ramblers" as a bunch of townies who have no idea how the countryside works, see it through rose tinted specs and if they had their way we'd all be wearing smocks, chewing straws and talking like the Wurzels! They're the sorts of people who move to the country and then get a noise abatement notice stock on the neighbouring farmer's (to save the blushes of US contributors) rooster!

On the other hand.....

Some green laners blatently take the pi55 recklessly riding illegal vehicles with no regard for other users, often not confining themselves to the paths but cutting up the countryside all around as well. We had people coming from the other side of London to one particular site in Kent. I've found cyclists can be just as inconsiderate and if anything they're worse, at least you can hear a motor vehicle coming, I've lost count of the times I've almost been knocked over by mountain bikers coming round a corner at a rate of knots and who then blame the pedestrians for not getting out of their way s

As with all things, it's the actions of the minority that spoil it for everyone else. Trouble is though, who wants to go green laning at sensible speeds? if I want to look at the country, I'll walk, cycle or ride a horse. Bikes are all about speed

Deleting legitimate posts just because you don't happen to agree with them is taking the easy way out though.
