Bike not starting.

Right.... my bike is off road at the moment.. as some silly sod reversed into it...

So I have a hire bike... which happens to be a nekkid SV650 (K3).. so I have no problems there

Except it no longer wants to start.

It has an accumen alarm.
I think its a dying battery. As Im thumbing the starter, and theres just clicking from under the seat. Not a peep from the engine itself. Fuel injection is making its whirring noise... but LCD screen is having a fit when I try to start it.... lights dont seem to be that much effected.
So I think the clicking is coming from a relay under the seat.

Also, the battery charger might be a tad suspect at the moment... so Im not 100% sure if that will work.


Anyone have any ideas at the moment ??

Ive thrown the battery on charge, so I hope by tomorrow that might do something. If I cant get it to start tomorrow, then I shall simply phone up and say its dudd!

But I dont want to go too long without a bike... as Im already getting twitches!

When I first got my SV i left it sitting for little while before i started using it only to find the day before i needed it I had almost exactly the same problem.

I thought what the hell is all that clicking and sure enough it was just a dead battery bought an optimate3 and fully charged it next day it fired up without a problem.

I would say with anyluck come tommorow when you have fully charged the battery it will be fine.

but heh i could be wrong

I had the same problem with my bike when i first got it, stuck the battery on charge and it was fine the next day.
