Hi All
Been lurking on these forums for a while now. Finally decided that I will take the plunge and buy a new SV in the next couple of weeks ![]() I am told that it is a buyers market for new bikes - is this true? Seems to be a very healthy second-hand market but not sure what the new market is like. How many SV's would get sold in a month in the UK? Should I expect sizable discounts on the screen price of a new SV, free goodies chucked in, or both ![]() There are a few dealers around this way (Reading area) so I am hoping to play them off each other to maximum effect ![]() Any thoughts appreciated Cheers |

List price is £4599 for an SV50S. You should be able to get one for around £4000 quite easily and possibly a discount on accessories (inc. clothing/lids) bought with the bike. Fowlers of Bristol are advertising the SV1000 'from' £3999 in MCN this week (whatever 'from' means) and SV650 for £3649 (both unfaired and pre-reg).
Edit: From looking at their web site (www.fowlers.co.uk) 'from £3999' means new pre-registered K3 SV1000's. Still a bloody good deal though. |

George White in swindon are normally pretty good at discounting too and I guess that in't too far either?
Shouldn't be paying more than £4000 for a pre-reg sv650s. |

George White are also in Slough and this is possibly their main Suzuki site. Probably still got lots of SVs in stock.
Good Luck with tracking down a deal. |

Its near Reading isnt it?Do you want a naked one cos they are cheaper, and more comfortable in town.Do your homework and if you are not pxing they should bite your hand off.Do let us know how much you pay as its good to keep up with the "real"market as against the spin.

Looking at SV650S as I would want to commute on it, and do occasional longer trips also.
No PX, and a sizable sum as a downpayment, so will be interesting to see which way the wind blows Will keep you posted ![]() |
